Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my pet need a Wellness Plan?
Your pet, like you, needs special attention to ensure he’s feeling his best. A regular schedule of check-ups and preventive medicine can help identify health issues before they become serious, preventing expensive medical bills down the road and helping your cat or dog live a long and happy life.
Is this pet insurance?
Lone Mountain’s Wellness Plans guarantee access to care to help prevent your pet from becoming unhealthy. Pet insurance requires you to pay a premium in exchange for a promise to pay part of the cost of treatment if your pet falls ill or gets hurt. Lone Mountain’s Wellness Plans help you regain control of your pet’s health and give you access to services every pet owner can use.
Do these plans cover advanced diagnostic and treatment services such as x-rays and anesthesia, or emergency visits?
No. Lone Mountain Wellness Plans are designed to provide basic diagnostic and preventive care. We encourage you to bring in your pet at the first sign of a problem without worrying about basic examination costs. If we find further testing or treatment is required, we will discuss your options with you.
Why would you offer these services at such a large discount?
At Lone Mountain Veterinary Hospital we know that you love your pet. The last thing you want to do is make a difficult decision regarding your pet’s health. Our Wellness Plan packages offer highly affordable basic diagnostic and preventive services so that you should never hesitate when your pet needs medical care.
How do we get started?
First, your pet needs an exam by her veterinarian. If she is healthy and qualifies for a plan, you can sign up for the options that best suit your pet’s needs, your budget, and the veterinarian’s recommendations.
